Hello and Welcome.

Firstly, and most importantly, thank you for joining Location HQ and letting us photograph your property.
We want to ensure everything is in place, so you feel prepared, and to maximise our photographer’s time with you. Here are our Guidelines to help with this.
PREPARATION
Confirming our booking
- Our photographer would have contacted you directly about the best day and time. Should you wish to get verification, you can reach out to us on our landline (number below), where a member of our Team will be able to verify for you.
Accessing your property
- If there are any particular details our photographer needs to know to locate or access your property, please do let him know to avoid any confusion or lost time on the day.
- If you are not the point of contact on the day, please let him know the name and telephone number of this contact to help avoid any delays or confusion on the day.
- Some locations have multiple keys, keypads, etc. Please have these to hand for access to all the areas.
Access All Areas
- We would need access to all areas available for filming. From rooftop to cellar, every space has the potential to tell a story, and we want to ensure we don’t miss a single corner. Other areas would include: parking, potential set-up areas, a place for catering and/or holding areas for cast and crew. The more we can show that your location has the potential to accommodate these logistics, the faster the turnaround from enquiry to sale.
Residential
- Please do have a clean beforehand - Don’t go mad, we’re not House & Home!
- Please tidy away any clutter
- Remove personal framed photographs or other identifiers
- Please make sure there are no seasonal or holiday decorations
- It’s good to show any garden furniture, swimming pools, or other key features.
- Clean windows are a plus.
*Please be assured that we never use photography that identifies house numbers, car licences plates etc
Commercial and Industrial Spaces
Please clear the spaces as best you can, unless we are trying to create a certain atmosphere. Ignore this if it’s a working space.
- Please pick the quietest time of day for the photographer’s visit to avoid too many people in the shot.
- For those who will be on site, please do let them know we will be there.
- Allow plenty of time for larger sites.
- Don’t forget keys to access all areas.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER YOUR (RE) SHOOT?
- Photographs are scaled, watermarked and uploaded to our website with your listing. The Location Intel Form you would have completed for your Account Manager is also used at this point to ensure we have all the information we need from you for a great listing.
- Your listing gets a two-gate check to make sure all is correct, and it looks its shiniest best.
- We immediately update our Sales Team so they know the location is online and/or updated, and they have everything they need to pitch to productions.
- We work with our Marketing Team to look at the best channels to promote your location. This may include: a newsletter to the 1000s of production companies, advertising agencies and platforms we have contact with regularly, creating social media postings and target key market segments. Each time we do this we let you know. So should you get direct enquiries, you know it’s due to our marketing and we can take it from there.
GOING FORWARD
Over time, you might make significant changes to your property. To make sure we represent your location as best as possible, please do let us know if you do, so we can either note or do a reshoot.
PHOTO USE
We believe our relationship with you is a partnership, and with that in mind, we are happy for you to use the photographs under the following Guidelines
- Photographs can be used for personal use only. Any commercial use will be on a case-by-case basis and be subject to a charge.
- We would ask that when using our photographs that you credit Location HQ.
- Please contact your Account Manager to arrange details.
